Wind of May

Wusi Square, Qingdao, China

Wusi(May forth) Squre is the memorial place for the 5.4 Movement.
University students in Beijing protested western nations’ oppression over China in 1919.
The 5.4 Movement is often labeled the “new cultural movement,” and one of its goals was to bring democracy and science to China.
The red monument is named “Wind of May.”
